BIO
Carlos Campos grew up in a design household, inspired by his father, a master tailor. It was here that Campos decided to follow in his footsteps and become a fashion designer, pursuing his own version of the American Dream.
He studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and then worked as a design consultant for brands like ZARA and PVH, as well as for various Broadway productions. In 2007, he launched his brand, CARLOS CAMPOS NEW YORK.
The brand features modern, clean lines, minimal shapes, and impeccable tailoring. Campos quickly gained recognition in the US and Latin American fashion scenes, receiving awards like the Fashion Group International Rising Star for Menswear and the VANIDADES Emerging Designer Award. He was a finalist for the VOGUE/CFDA Fashion Fund in 2011 and became a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
In March 2017, he helped establish Honduras' first design school, The Carlos Campos School for Fashion & Design, at UNITEC, part of Naba universities.
